Comforter of the world, preserve our faith.
Holy Ghost, bring joy into the hearts of the faithful.
Do not scatter us, but unite us,
that in foreign languages we may sing unto Thee.
Lord, Thou who sendest us the purifying fire that consumes the enemy,
we sing you with one voice.
You givest us a pure heart, and Thou revivest our spirit

When I was young
When I was young, there were no ills,
I began to grow, there were more ills,
Wherever I go, I fall into tribulation,
Whomsoever I ask for counsel, there is truth in no-one.
I shall abandon this world, I shall go to the monastery,
There I shall build a new cell,
A new cell with three little windows.
From the first I shall look out on the river
Danube .
From the second I shall look out, and I shall exult,
From the third I shall look out, and I shall lament.
